SAWA means SAMEN (together) in Arabic. SAWA in Herent stands for warmth and encounter.

  • Take a seat and join us. Together we learn from each other.
  • Would you like to learn how to sew with a sewing machine? You can!
  • Or would you rather play a board game?
  • Sometimes we also cook together. Dishes from all over the world. Maybe from your country too?
  • Or do you have another idea? Maybe drawing together, or reading the newspaper together, or… ?

Every Monday evening from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.; not on public holidays or during school holidays

SAWA SAMEN is an activity organised by the Refugee Welcome Group (OGV) in Herent.

At the same time and in the same place, you can have your bicycle repaired at “Fietsjevrij”

The Welcome Group (OGV) also organises other activities, such as “T-Babbel” on Tuesday afternoons, where you can practise Dutch in small groups.
